Heart of Mary 2019 Summer Book Club

be healed.jpg
“A potentially life-changing book.”
“Schuchts profoundly understands the human heart, its self-protective tendencies, and its need for healing. By sharing insights gleaned from both his own experience of woundedness and healing and from his many years of professional counseling and prayer with others, he helps readers open themselves to the healing Jesus offers. A potentially life-changing book.”
— Peter F. Ryan, S J. Executive Director, Secretariat of Doctrine United States Conference of Catholic Bishops

In the tradition of such beloved spiritual teachers as Francis MacNutt and Michael Scanlan, Be Healed: A Guide to Encountering the Powerful Love of Jesus in Your Lifeoffers in book form Bob Schuchts’s popular program for spiritual, emotional, and physical healing through the power of the Holy Spirit and the sacraments.

This renowned program for spiritual restoration is steeped in scripture and the wisdom of the Catholic Church. Deeply intimate and vulnerable about his own journey of healing, Catholic therapist Bob Schuchts connects with his readers by sharing the series of betrayals he endured in high school—his father’s infidelity, his parents’ divorce, and his older brother’s drug addiction—and his subsequent seasons of struggle with God and faith.

Be Healed is based on the program first used in dioceses across the United States to form the hearts and minds of Catholic clergy. Schuchts’s trusted process for finding inner peace and healing is now expanded to serve the entire body of Christ, helping people recognize their brokenness and find hope in the risen Christ.

Features & Benefits:

  • Schuchts is the founder of the John Paul II Healing and Training Center and speaks internationally on spiritual healing.

  • Schuchts has been a marriage and family therapist for more than thirty-five years and is well-respected as a counselor who offers a Christ-centered model for healing.

  • Readers will find helpful tools (such as charts, tables, lists, reflection questions) and personal challenges to help guide them on their journey of healing.

“Experience the truth of Christ’s healing power!”

“In Be Healed, Bob Schuchts takes the reader into the life of a changed man, sharing the story of how he received spiritual, psychological, and emotional healing. Our world, filled with brokenness and suffering, needs to experience the truth of Christ’s healing power! Reading this book will begin that encounter with Jesus.”
— Most Reverend Samuel J. Aquilla. Archbishop of Denver

Women's Lenten Book Study 2019

2019 Lenten Bible Study for Women.jpg
St. Patrick Church - Dublin, with address.jpg

Living Loved When You Feel Less Than, Left Out, and Lonely

In this six-session video Bible study, Lysa helps women to explore the roots of rejection; the lies we believe as a result; and the truth about who God is, who we are, and what it looks like to live loved.

The enemy wants us to feel rejected . . . left out, lonely, and less than. When we allow him to speak lies through our rejection, he pickpockets our purpose. Cripples our courage. Dismantles our dreams. And blinds us to the beauty of Christ’s powerful love.

In these six powerful teaching sessions filmed in the Holy Land, Lysa shares the truth of God’s Word to help women:

  • Release the desire to fall apart or control the actions of others by embracing God-honoring ways to process their hurt.

  • Know how to pray in order to steady their soul and restore their confidence.

  • Overcome the fears that feed our insecurities.

  • Stop feeling left out and start believing that “set apart” does not mean “set aside.”

  • End the cycle of perceived rejection by refusing to turn a small incident into a full blown issue.

Explore Life, Faith, and Meaning.

Alpha is an opportunity to explore Life, Faith, and God

What is Alpha?

Alpha is a series of interactive sessions exploring the basics of the Christian faith.

WHAT WILL ALPHA LOOK LIKE THROUGH THE HEART OF MARY GROUP?

Women will be journeying with Alpha over a period of 10 months, meeting once a month to share food & fellowship followed by watching an Alpha talk and discussing our thoughts in small group format. There will be a day retreat that focuses on The Holy Spirit in the spring of 2018.

Satisfying your deepest cravings with God not food

Just because a woman finally fits into her skinny jeans doesn’t mean she’s won her battle with food. Too often, women overlook the spiritual component to their physical struggle with healthy eating. Made to Crave taps into the desires God gave you to consume food without letting food consume you.
